I started my musical repair journey just like most, by wanting to be a rock star. I started noticing all the cool things and sounds coming from the guitars and amps. So, I started experimenting with my own guitars and amps… didn’t go so well at first. But, perseverance pays off and soon I was actually fixing and modifying my own stuff.  Kids around the neighborhood started asking if I could “do some stuff” to their instruments, and that was the start of it. By working on other people’s guitars and amps I found a hidden passion that I was not expecting which has only grown with time and knowledge.

Later in life, I was presented with the opportunity at a nice piano that needed some work. I took a deep dive into piano repair and realized another passion there. 

It is such a uniquely expressive instrument for the artist, that I feel each piano is an extension of the song as well as the artist. This presents a need for passion when working on and caring for such instruments. The intricacies, nuances and complexity of the piano never cease to amaze me, and drives my passion for piano work.
