A great feeling guitar really does a lot towards the playability of the instrument and the creativeness of the artist. Each guitarist likes to have their instrument set up to their preferred specs. It is especially important when playing several instruments. The strings on a guitar go through a beating physically with the repetitive bending, plucking, strumming and down picking. They also go through a beating chemically with oil transfer from hands and oxidation from the sweat from rocking. All of this ultimately leads to strings breaking, and usually at the worst times.
